What's covered, and what isn't
Our warranty covers our parts and our workmanship. It does not cover damage caused by tuning, fuel, install or abuse — that's the honest line, and we'd rather say it up front.
Covered for 24 months
- Every internal component we install — crankshaft, rods, pistons, rings, bearings, seals and gaskets
- All machine work performed in our shop: boring, honing, decking and cylinder plating
- Assembly workmanship — clearances, torque specs and timing set to factory or agreed spec
- Oil and coolant leaks caused by our sealing or assembly
- A documented failure of a part we supplied, verified by our own teardown
Not covered
- Normal wear items — spark plugs, belts, filters, reeds, clutch components and fuel lines
- Lean jetting, wrong fuel, bad oil or improper break-in that causes heat or detonation damage
- Damage from a foreign object, water ingestion, a crash or running the engine dry
- Racing, turbo/nitrous or performance changes made without written approval on the invoice
- Unauthorized disassembly or repairs by another shop
- Freight costs, down time, towing or other incidental expenses
Four steps, start to finish
One email starts it. We handle the diagnosis, the paperwork and the repair so you're back on the snow as fast as the season allows.
Email us the details
Send your invoice number, sled make/model/year, engine serial (if visible), a short description of the failure and a few clear photos to info@sledwerx.ca.
We open a claim
We review it and reply within two business days with a claim number and the address for the return. No forms, no runaround.
Ship the engine in
Drain the fluids, pack it securely and send it to our Alberta warehouse. Keep the tracking number — we log it against your claim.
Teardown and repair
We tear it down in-house, find the cause and send you photos. If it is covered, we repair or rebuild it at no charge — typically in 2–3 weeks.
Every claim is inspected before a decision is made — covered or not, you get the photos and the explanation.

- Correct break-in, the fuel and oil spec on your invoice, and no changes without checking with us first.
